1. Commitment to Data Minimization
SOVEL (sovel.pro), created and operated by P. Adhil Khan, operates under a strict data minimization policy. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or disclose customer personal information to third parties. SOVEL does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising telemetry on the public site. Optional third-party integrations may be enabled through administrative configuration; where such services are enabled, applicable data processing will be documented in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information Collected and Processed
When you interact with the SOVEL platform, data collection is limited strictly to what is required for technical operation, communication, and commercial fulfillment:
- Order & Billing Records: When you purchase an engineering package or software license, we collect your name, billing email address, and country to process the order, generate a compliant receipt, and link digital package access to your account.
- Payment Processing: Sensitive financial details—including credit card numbers, debit card details, UPI credentials, and PayPal login credentials—are processed directly by our payment providers (Razorpay and PayPal) in their secure environments. SOVEL servers never process, store, or receive your raw card details, bank passwords, or UPI PINs.
- Download Authentication Logs: When accessing digital packages, our server logs the requesting IP address, user agent, timestamp, and order entitlement identifier. This data is strictly used to validate authorized customer access and prevent unauthorized distribution.
- Contact Enquiries: When you submit a message via our Contact Us form (/contact/) or direct email, we collect your name, email address, inquiry type, selected product (if applicable), order ID (where supplied), subject, message details, submission timestamp, and technical security metadata (IP address and user agent). This information is processed solely to investigate, route, and respond to your enquiry, provide technical support, handle licensing questions, or investigate security reports.
- Newsletter and Platform Updates: When you voluntarily subscribe to SOVEL updates, we collect your email address, optional name, update preferences/interests, consent timestamp, and subscription status. This data is used solely to deliver requested engineering dispatches, release notices, and platform updates. Every email includes an instant one-click unsubscribe link.
3. Email Delivery Providers
Transactional notifications, contact confirmations, and newsletter updates are transmitted through authenticated email delivery providers (SMTP / transactional mail agents). These providers process message headers and recipient email addresses strictly on our behalf to effect transmission.
4. Data Storage, Transport & Technical Safeguards
All data transmitted across SOVEL is encrypted using modern TLS encryption. Digital product archives are hosted in isolated storage directories situated outside the public web server document root, protected by server-level deny rules, and accessible only through order-authorized permissions.
5. Cookies and Session State
SOVEL uses only essential cookies required for core website functionality, specifically to maintain your WooCommerce shopping cart session and authenticated account state. We do not deploy third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Data Retention & Consumer Rights
Records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, dispute resolution, legal, accounting, or operational purposes, subject to applicable requirements. SOVEL handles personal information in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements relevant to its operations and the jurisdictions in which it offers its products.
